The Bundesrat of Germany is the upper house of the German parliament, representing the sixteen federal states of the country. Established in 1949, the Bundesrat plays a significant role in the legislative process, particularly in matters concerning state interests and the implementation of federal laws. As an essential part of Germany's democratic system, the Bundesrat reviews and votes on legislation, approves the federal budget, and participates in the appointment of top officials. This influential body holds regular meetings at the Bundesrat building in Berlin, where representatives from each state convene to discuss and deliberate on key issues. With a rich history and a vital role in German politics, the Bundesrat of Germany continues to be a crucial institution in the country's governance.

An interesting building. Sits right across the Berlin Mall. Just looking at it is fascinating. You can almost place yourself in the past and just imagine. Anyways, the building is gorgeous and I’ve never seen a piece of architecture like it. Berlin has buildings no other countries can compete with. Not to mention the historical background behind them all. A great visit and would return again.
An interesting building with long history behind. Guide tour is cool if you wanna know the history in details.
The Bundesrat is the legislative body representing the sixteen German Länder at the federal level. The Bundesrat meets in the former Prussian Palace of the Lords, which is certainly a building that attracts the attention of a walker.
A beautiful neo-classical building dating back to the Prussian era, now housing the Senate of the Federal State of Berlin. Situated directly across Leipzigger Str from the Mall of Berlin. These photos taken from inside the Mall's atrium. Nicely restored following damage during world war II
Did not let us in even though we were on time 👎 …
Great view and good picture spot next to mall of Berlin.
More than 100 years old building meant for upper chamber of the Parliament. The building is still strong and graceful.
Really cool experience! I can only recommend
